Grainger: Irish Tune from County Derry ("Danny Boy")

Fondly known as "Danny Boy," this beloved melody will make a great addition to your flute quartet's repertoire! This arrangement is based on Percy Aldridge Grainger's 1911 setting for solo piano, though many flute players will also be familiar with his version for concert band. This version for flute quartet preserves some of the wonderful dissonance that's a hallmark of Grainger's work, but the beautiful and poignant melody still soars. Suitable for intermediate players.
